CFRs and St Clare

It was a great joy to welcome our CFR brothers from St Fidelis Friary in Canning Town, London, for their annual community retreat this october.

This convent had been home to the Poor Clares for the past 110 years, so it seemed very fitting to see these five Franciscan friars celebrate Mass in this place so dear to St Francis and St Clare.

The brothers were able to benefit from the silence of the convent as well as the natural beauty of the North Devon coast.

We were very happy to hear about their mission towards the poor and their works of evangelisation, and we continue to keep their intentions in our prayers.
